Gloves à la crepinette
(2025)

001                                    Latex gloves have always been a symbol of a controlled environment,, protection of the hand in a stable chemical prison, the apparel of the hospital and the surgeon. I deviate these forms into something that its itself biological, taking inspiration from caul fat (as crepinettes) to create a hand that becomes distorted and fleshy

I imagined the fingers as potential ring holders, fusing both form and function

003                                    The grey stained plaster contrasts well with the slightly tarnished silver rings that I own, with the slight ridges of the finger allowing them to gently rest on top, making it easy to remove and wear them when needed.
